Somewhere on the “Mount Rushmore” of the fitness industry has to be Joe Gold of Gold’s Gym. In my 20 plus years of working in the fitness industry, I have seen a lot of health clubs open and close but one organization, Gold’s Gym, remains at or near the top of the industry. Gold’s Gym is celebrating 50 years of excellence in 2015 and continues to be a leader in the world of fitness, health, and exercise. Locally in Rhode Island, there are two Gold’s Gym locations – East Greenwich and Pawtucket. The Gold’s Gym East Greenwich sent me some information on upcoming events, including an important fundraiser supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here is more from Gold’s East Greenwich’s Jackie DelGizzo.
My name is Jackie DelGizzo . I am the GGX (group exercise) coordinator at Gold’s East Greenwich . Every quarter we have a open house event to showcase new fitness programs and show off why Gold’s Gym is the best fitness center in RI . This quarter, our event is Saturday, October 24th. We have invited local health and fitness vendors to the club here on Division St. to set up booths and let potential as well as existing members view their products and services. The vendors will be set up in the front of the gym when you first walk in. It is a fun filled day that is always a great success for Gold’s Gym and our valued members. And it is a great event for visitors to learn about current and new programming as well as meet local health and fitness experts. The event is from 8 am-12 pm . I am excited to promote these vendors that will be here. Click on a vendor below to learn more about their products and services.
The charity organization we are working with for our Dance-A-Thon is Making Strides. Our event is Sunday, October 25th and they will be here taking donations as well as “I Heart Cakes” selling pink ribbon cookies to go towards the charity. Also , the vendors will be providing something for us to raffle off to members. And raffle ticket sales will go towards Making Strides. We have some exciting membership offers going on during our Monster Bash and Dance-A-Thon events, so be sure to bring a friend.
