The North Kingstown Blog is promoting local health clubs that are raising awareness for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Denise Robbin, Program Director, of River Bend Athletic Club sent me a message with a fun-raiser they are hosting for Breast Cancer month called “Watch Me Cure.” River Bend Athletic Club is South County’s 2015 Best of RI Gym. River Bend is a full service club that features cardiovascular equipment, strength training equipment, group exercise classes, and much more. They are open 7 days a week and offer childcare services, tanning as well as plenty of parking. You can see photos of the club, find out hours of operation, and search class descriptions on their official website – www.riverbendac.biz. Here is some additional information and a few of their promotional flyers about “Watch Me Cure” from River Bend Athletic Club, where “prospective members are encouraged to stop in for a facility tour and will receive a FREE day pass!”

The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
