These arms each have pull pin which pulls out to release the arm and then locks into place once you have selected a desired height. The arms are easy to adjust and really makes the FreeMotion Cable Cross into a very, very versatile machine.
In addition, the arms of the FreeMotion Cable Cross have swivel pulley mounts at each end. Swivel pulley mounts allow the user to have more of a user defined feel to exercises without restricting the hand’s range of motion. In other words, the swivel pulley mounts give this FreeMotion Cable Cross the feel of using free weights or dumbbells, which have no cable or external restrictions. The user is allowed to rotate their hands, wrists, etc in a comfortable range of motion for exercises such as arm curls, chest presses, shoulder presses, and more. By allowing for more of a user defined movement, you are engaging more muscle groups in the exercise or activity. This is another reason why the FreeMotion Cable Cross is such an effective strength training machine.
The FreeMotion Cable Cross is commercially built. Fully assembled, it weighs about 1000 lbs. It has the strength and durability to last in a 24 hour health club or busy personal training practice. The weight stack goes up to 200 lbs. and moves through a series of pulleys and a cable. You can use one arm at a time or both arms simultaneously. There is a balance bar built into the front of the frame should decide to use one arm or one leg at a time.
