Over the past two years, I have had the amazing privilege to be a part of the North Kingstown High School Senior Project program. As an alumni of NKHS, I am so proud to promote the projects and visions of our talented and impressive North Kingstown Seniors. To date, we have met and interviewed a great number of students with projects ranging from baseball charities to cancer research projects to cupcake wars. Each project and each student represents their town, their community, their family with class and dignity. The culmination of these projects is the Senior Project Presentation Night. This year’s event will take place on Thursday May 18th at the North Kingstown High School. Leslie Holcroft is the senior project coordinator. Here is some information from Leslie on this very exciting community event here in North Kingstown:
Senior Project Presentation Night will be held this year at North Kingstown High School on Thursday, May 18th starting at 5pm. We welcome new and repeat community judges to score student presentations alongside NKHS faculty. It is an exciting night for students, as this is the final graduation requirement before they are approved to receive a high school diploma and the attendance of community members on this night is an important reminder of the community support they’ve received throughout their education. Attending as a judge is also a great way for parents of younger students to get a first-hand glance at what their own students will be working on in the future. Anyone who is interested in volunteering this spring should contact senior project coordinator Leslie Holcroft at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 401-268-6208.
