The Heavy Hitter is Back!
The Ocean State Waves and Rob Levine & Associates are very excited to announce that Rob Levine will once again be providing fifteen Heavy Hitter scholarships to children in our community to attend our Waves Summer Baseball Camp. These scholarships will be available to any player between the ages of 8-14 that has some means of transportation. The Waves partnership with Rob Levine & Associates is aimed towards helping the youth of South County expand their knowledge about the game. These scholarships are a fantastic way to ensure that this goal can be met, while helping our youth players learn more about the game when they otherwise could not.
“We are really excited that Rob has continued to show his support in our community to help provide kids with an opportunity that they may not normally have.” Says Ocean State Waves owner and general manager Matt Finlayson, “The Heavy Hitter Program has already helped 45 baseball players get a wonderful experience at our summer baseball camp with the best college players in the country.”
Registration has already begun for the camps, which are located in South Kingstown and Westerly. Waves Camp sessions will be held the weeks of July 9th and 16th, at Old Mountain Field, and Cimalore Field. Parents can register their children for the South Kingstown camp through contacting the towns parks and recreation department by calling (401) 789-9301 or going to http://parksandrec.southkingstownri.com/. Children can be registered for the Westerly camp through the Waves website under the summer camp tab.
All the information regarding the camps and how to apply for one of the fifteen Heavy Hitter Scholarships are on the Waves website at http://pointstreaksites.com/view/oceanstatewaves, or contact the Ocean State Waves at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
