The New England College Baseball League has two amazing teams in Rhode Island – The Newport Gulls and The Ocean State Waves. These two great local baseball organizations recruit top collegiate talent from all over the United States to come to RI every summer to play in this highly competitive summer baseball league. Each team has a loyal fan base, volunteers with kids in their communities at large, and provides Rhode Island baseball fans with an incredible baseball experience.
And Saturday June 9th, The Newport Gulls will travel across the Newport and Jamestown Bridges, down Route 1 South to Old Mountain Field to face The Ocean State Waves. The game is scheduled for 6:30 pm. Judging by years past, this is always one of the highest attended games of the season. Single game tickets are available the day of the game at the Old Mountain Field box office. In addition, season passes are available on the Ocean State Waves and Newport Gulls websites listed below:
Come out to see the Newport Gulls face the Ocean State Waves this Saturday June 9th at Old Mountain Field in Wakefield. Game starts at 6:30 pm. Under the lights, summer time weather, great baseball – what other reasons do you need!!! See you in Wakefield Saturday night.
The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
