Rhode Island Baseball State Tournament Updates on the RIBBE

For Rhode Island Little League®, the state is broken up into 4 divisions regionally.  Each district has a tournament to decide a district champion.  There are several divisions including under 10, under 11, and under 12.  The champions of each district tournament then move on to the state tournament and some even move onto regional and national tournaments, should they win.  Here is where the state tournaments will be played this summer:

U10 Division: Randy Hien Field, Lonsdale Park, 270 River Road, Lincoln, Rhode Island. (behind Lonsdale Elementary School).  Host team is Lincoln Little League.

states U10

U11 Division – Michael P. Varrato Field, U.S. Senator John Chafee Athletic and Recreational Complex, 450 Hope Rd., Cranston, RI. Host team is Cranston Western Little League.

states U11

U12 Division (these teams are playing for a chance to play in the Little League® World Series, should they win states, then Eastern Regionals in Bristol, CT) – Slater Park, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI.  Host team is Darlington American Little League.

states U12

Good luck to all the players, coaches, and families in these very exciting Rhode Island baseball tournaments.  And keep up with the results daily on the Rhode Island Baseball Experience Facebook page – The RIBBE.

The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
