Rhode Island Baseball Parks Honor Local Veterans With Honor

This past summer and fall, I had the good fortune of visiting over 50 baseball fields here in Rhode Island.  Some visits were for my North Kingstown Wickford Little League teams I managed.  Others for a series of articles I am writing about the many, many beautiful baseball fields and their incredible volunteers who manage them.  And one of the many constants I found at these great baseball parks is their dedications to our United States Servicemen and Servicewomen.

These Rhode Island baseball park displays and dedication sites for Veterans make you pause and stand and appreciate the sacrifices of our country’s military.   I have several Veterans of war and service abroad in my family.  Depending on who I ask, the appreciation for their service has not always been recognized.  Veterans of any war, any service, and commitment such as sacrificing your life, family, and future for service in our country’s military should be appreciated and honored, in my opinion.  These dedication plaques adorned with American flags are just a small token of appreciation for our Veterans.  Here are some RI Little League baseball fields and their dedication plaques that caught my eye this summer:

The Rhode Island Baseball Experience thanks you the Veterans, one and all, the families, and communities for honoring these brave men and women who served our country with honor.
