Fairlawn Little League is a youth baseball organization based in Pawtucket, RI. Their home baseball fields are located off Smithfield Avenue behind Nathanael Greene Elementary School. Over the years, I have visited Fairlawn Little League’s fields and captured a few photos for my baseball field collection. I always enjoyed my visits to these fields, especially the Jack Carney Tee Ball Field.
On Monday March 1, I read a post in my Facebook news feed regarding Fairlawn Little League. Quoting the post, “To my friends, and family of Fairlawn Little League: If you are planning to sign your child(s) up for baseball this 2021 season, Fairlawn will not be having a season. If you are looking to sign up, you can do so at Darlington American Little League or Pineview Little League.” Fairlawn did not participate in the 2020 season, having cancelled their season due to the emerging pandemic happening last March, 2020.
Players, families, volunteers, and coaches zoned for Fairlawn Little League can now register at a different Pawtucket Little League organization for the 2021 Season. Here are some important links to register your child or children for baseball if you live in the Pawtucket, RI area:
Please share with baseball families in the Pawtucket area who are zoned for Fairlawn Little League. Hopefully, Fairlawn Little League will return to operation in the future. Thank you to the volunteers and administrators of Darlington American Little League and Pineview Little League for stepping in to assist these baseball players and families. Good luck to all the players, coaches, and families participating this season.
