Local Rhode Island Baseball Talent Headed To Summer Collegiate Baseball Leagues

The 2021 Summer Collegiate Baseball League season is just underway, with many leagues starting in late May and early June. Rhode Island student athletes are filling up roster spots on some of the most prestigious summer baseball leagues here in Rhode Island and in other parts of the Northeast. I have been tracking players as they “sign” on with teams and have posted them here and on my social media pages. Here is a new list of local Rhode Island baseball players who will be playing summer collegiate baseball this summer, according to each league’s website:

  • Tyghe Healy – Pitcher (P), East Greenwich, Pittsfield Suns, Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
  • M.T. Morrissey – P, Portsmouth, Vermont Lake Monsters, FCBL
  • Christian Tejada – P, Providence, Westfield Starfires, FCBL
  • Brad Lombardi – P, East Greenwich, Norwich Sea Unicorns, FCBL
  • Tate Copeland – P, Middletown, Mystic Schooners, New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL)
  • Owen Zadrozny – P, Cumberland, New Britain Bees, FCBL
  • Sam Craven – P, Wakefield, Genesee Rapids, New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL)
  • Randall Hien – INF, Lincoln, Mansfield Destroyers, NYCBL
  • Randy Reyes – P, Providence, Norwich Sea Unicorns, FCBL

As more players “sign” on to play for summer collegiate baseball leagues, I will update my list. Also, there are a number of local high school and collegiate student athletes playing in the George Donnelly Sunset League this summer. And if you know a player not on this list, or from my previous blog – RI Baseball Summer Leaguers – please feel free to email me and I will update my list. You can reach me at ribaseballexperience@gmail.com. And as always, good luck to all the players and families participating in summer baseball leagues here and around the Northeast.
