2022 Rhode Island Baseball Scouting Report – Evan LeVasseur

This is an exciting new venture for the Rhode Island Baseball Experience – scouting reports for the Rhode Island Baseball Community written by players, coaches, parents, grandparents, or league administrators. These are players looking for some press, maybe to join an AAU program, maybe to get some local high school exposure statewide, and possibly the attention of collegiate coaches and pro scouts. If you would like your profile to be shared with the Rhode Island Baseball Community, send me an email at ribaseballexperience@gmail.com or fill out the contact form at the bottom of this article. So, without any further interruptions and nominated/scouted through my online form, I introduce: Evan LeVasseur

Name: Evan LeVasseur

Current team: New England Scorpions Showcase

Brag about yourself:  Evan’s love of baseball began pretty much from birth. He always had a ball in his hand. Beginning with Middletown Little League, Seawolves, and the Ocean State Makos, to currently playing New England Scorpions showcase. Recently he was listed by the NE Baseball Journal as one of the top 25 impact prospects in the High School/Prep Class of 2025 as a LHP/OF/1B. Evan has learned something valuable from each of his coaches along the way: Mike Agren (MLL/ Seawolves), John Cawley (Gaudet Middle School), Mike Condry (Middletown Babe Ruth), Paul LeVasseur (MLL/ Seawolves), and notably Michael Schuernmann and Cody Ortega (NE Scorpions). Each of these coaches have helped Evan mature, improve his baseball awareness, and to become a better teammate and person.

A fierce competitor, he will not crack under pressure. He will gladly accept the ball and take the mound in big game situations and stay as cool as the other side of the pillow. Evan respects his teammates, coaches and the game itself. Entering his Freshman year at Middletown High School, Evan is very excited to be working with coaches Eric Godin and Kevin Claire this spring.

Good luck Evan this year with the New England Scorpions Showcase team and at Middletown High School! And if you would like to scout yourself or a player in your organization, school, or league, fill out this contact form and send in a few game photos for the article. Thanks.
