This is an exciting new venture for the Rhode Island Baseball Experience – scouting reports for the Rhode Island Baseball Community written by players, coaches, parents, grandparents, or league administrators. These are players looking for some press, maybe to join an AAU program, maybe to get some local high school exposure statewide, and possibly the attention of collegiate coaches and pro scouts. If you would like your profile to be shared with the Rhode Island Baseball Community, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the contact form at the bottom of this article. So, without any further interruptions and in his own words, I introduce: Brady Maccarone
Name: Brady Maccarone
Current team or level of play: RI Bandits / Tollgate High School Class of 2023
Brag About Yourself: My love for the game of baseball started at a young age. I was always playing with a ball and would always be outside hitting Wiffle balls. I started my baseball career in Apponaug Babe Ruth League, then played AAU with Moe Joe Baseball, and now showcase ball with RI Bandits. I have been coached by so many and learned something new from each one. I was a great leader on my middle school baseball team. I helped lead my team to a huge playoff run which ended in a one run loss in the semi final round.
With my Freshman season canceled due to Covid, I still continued to better myself everyday. Sophomore year, I played a big role in the outfield for my high school team. Outside of the ball field, in the classroom, I am an honor student with an excellent work ethic. I am respectful to everyone around me and am willing to take on any challenges thrown my way. I spend many hours in the gym working on strength and conditioning as well as nutrition. I am also a volunteer Coach with my Dad for a local Little League team as a hitting/pitching instructor.
Great to meet you Brady through this online form, and great to meet you in person the other day at the Rhode Island Baseball Institute! Best of luck this year with Tollgate High School (academically and on the baseball field) and with the Bandits, as well as your volunteer coaching position.
