Rhode Island Baseball Update – New England Scorpions Baseball

I got an email this evening from New England Scorpions Baseball and Cody Ortega. Cody sent me this video, which I have to share with you! It features The New England Scorpions Organization, its players and coaches – prepping for another successful baseball season, crushing baseballs, doing drills, working with coaches, putting in the work this off season. Roll the tape…

On the New England Scorpions social media pages, the posts read “We have had a lot of players and parents reaching out regarding roster spots for this coming summer. We do have limited spots available for select High School teams ages 14U-17U (especially for pitchers). If interested please visit our website www.nescorpions.com and contact us via email / phone.”

Also, wanted to share the post regarding former Scorpions and Middletown High School, now URI Pitcher Ryan Andrade has signed to play for the Wareham Gatemen in the prestigious Cape Cod League this summer. I had a chance to meet and interview Ryan last year at 365Sports, as well as meet his Dad, Andy. Congrats Ryan on this incredible news and good luck this Spring at URI, then this summer on the Cape!

And the New England Scorpions were recently featured in the New England Baseball Journal. The article features an interview with the Scorpions Cody Ortega and documents the meteoric rise the program has achieved in the past 3 to 5 years here in Rhode Island baseball.
