Big Announcement From The Pawtucket Slaterettes – A Complex Of Our Own

I was reading through my Rhode Island Community social media pages this morning and came upon a big announcement. Here is more from the Instagram post by the Pawtucket Slaterettes:

We are making the move to a complex of our own! The new “Home of the Slaterettes” will be at Vets Memorial Park on Smithfield Ave in Pawtucket! This complex has four baseball fields, two practice fields, batting cages, concessions, storage, a playground, basketball hoop, lights, bathrooms, and ample parking! It’s less than a 2 mile drive from our previous fields, and has convenient highway access for our out of town families! We are still accepting registrations for our 2022 season, so sign up now and be a part of something great!

If you are familiar with Pawtucket, this is the complex behind Nathaniel Greene Elementary School off Smithfield Ave. Fairlawn Little League called this sports complex home for many, many seasons. And will now be the home for the Pawtucket Slaterettes Girls’ and Women’s Baseball League. With several fields to accommodate a wide range of ages and abilities, this is fantastic move for the organization. Check out more from their Facebook page on where the divisions will be playing:

As the post stated, registration is still open for the 2022 season of the Pawtucket Slaterettes. According to their registration page, “NO residency restrictions! Our players come from all over RI, and parts of MA & CT!” Now with this announcement of a “complex of our own,” The Slaterettes organization has the fields and facilities to further engage and enhance the girls and women’s baseball program here in Rhode Island and Southern New England. Great move and I can’t wait to catch at game or two at Vets Memorial Park in 2022, featuring the Pawtucket Slaterettes. Need more information on how you can sign up? Here are some helpful links:
