The Rhode Island American Legion Baseball season gets started next week (June 13th and 14th) and runs into late July. Teams from all over Rhode Island compete in Seniors or Juniors divisions on some of Rhode Island best baseball fields. According to the American Legion Baseball link to “Rhode Island Baseball Teams,” there are 8 seniors teams and 9 juniors teams (Scituate Post 19 has 2 teams). Here are the 8 Rhode Island American Legion Senior Division Teams (listed) competing this summer along with links to their team page, team sponsor, and contact information for each team (hyperlinked in bold):

And the 9 Rhode Island American Legion Junior Division Teams (listed) competing this summer with links to their team’s pages:

A few weeks back, one of the Legion coaches sent me the schedule of games for the two divisions and I am sharing them with you now. First the Seniors schedule:

And here is the Juniors schedule:

These Rhode Island American Legion baseball teams, stacked with local middle and high school talent, will compete from North Providence High School to Cardines Field to Ponaganset High School to Old Mountain Field in June and July, with playoffs and championships to be played late July. As a proud former player (Post 39 way, way back in the day), I can honestly say this is some of the best baseball you will watch all summer long here in Rhode Island. I am really looking forward to catching a bunch of American Legion games this summer. Good luck to all the players, coaches, teams, and families participating in the 2022 Rhode Island American Legion baseball season.

The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.
