A baseball trading card is a wonderful, tangible reminder of an era before the internet, ESPN updates, and instant access to information. The baseball card is/was a small cardboard cutout of knowledge filled with player statistics and photos, sometimes cartoon photos. Before cable TV, before Google, before smart […]
The RIBBE is The Rhode Island Baseball Experience. It is promoting the game of baseball here in the great state of Rhode Island for the entire baseball world to see. The RIBBE is positive stories, photos, videos, and responsible social media posts. The RIBBE is an information resource for families looking for an AAU team or a summer camp or a great place to buy a first baseman’s mitt. The RIBBE is a network of coaches, tournament directors, parents, leagues, and baseball junkies whose passion of the game of baseball is unquestioned. I believe that providing expert analysis, information and directions to ballfields, and coaching advice from some of the top RI baseball minds will help promote the game of baseball here in RI to a whole new level.

Memorabilia from her childhood, my childhood, my siblings’ (brother and sister), sports, Irish culture, New England style, and country living. Her home is a tribute in many ways to her many, […]
Over the past few years, I have gotten to work with Cranston East Little League and RI Reds Coach Gary Howard on baseball related articles. Gary is a proud parent of a Cranston East Little League rising star and works with his son and other youth baseball players […]
After a pitcher hurls the ball to home plate, he/she must then become a fielder. The fielding position of pitcher is the closest fielder to the batter, in most cases, and has the unenviable task sometimes of snagging a rocket ship hit by the batter. Good technique and […]
